In Tantric iconography, the red and white duality is super specific:

⚪ White represents Shiva Tattva, pure awareness, absolute stillness, and wisdom (Jnana). Also represented by Vibhuti.
🔴 Red represents Shakti Tattva…creative impulse, devotion, and action (Kriya). Kumkum!

In scripture, the Guru’s feet are described as Samavit, the exact intersection where infinite consciousness meets human experience. You can’t really have one without the other. Wisdom without action stays stuck in your head, and action without wisdom is just chaotic energy.

The Guru is basically the bridge that aligns both. To bow at the feet of the Guru is to honor both the stillness within us and the energy with which we move through the world.
